Clemmons house where human remains found is demolished VIDEO

Watch how the Gamble and Eames houses influenced design styles and represented ideals of their time. Separated from the rest of the neighborhood by iron gates and a motor court, the large residence holds a paneled library and an oval-shaped dining room with hand painted walls. The five-bedroom house has a very cool, lookout-tower-type addition to its front facade, courtesy of famed architect Frank Gehry. Inside, the residence mixes warm wood and homeyness with glass doors that bring the outside in. And in 2011, Burch was reportedly convicted of hitting her mother-in-law. According to the station, Algarad changed his name from John Lawson in 2002.

She also talked to the sheriff’s office on several unrelated matters and never volunteered any information about Wetzler and Welch, Stanley said. Charles Harris watches his crew demolishing the house at 2947 Knob Hill Drive in Clemmons, NC, Friday, April 24, 2015. The occupants of the house were charged with murder after human remains were found buried in the back yard last summer. Pazuzu Illah Algarad was accused of putting his mother, Cynthia Lawson, in a chokehold at the home they shared at 2749 Knob Hill Drive in Clemmons.

Algared and Burch have both been charged with first-degree murder and accessory after of the fact of first-degree murder. According to a friend of Burch, Algarad claimed to get a high from eating the “still-beating heart” of a sacrificial animal and bragged openly about having killed two prostitutes. Last month a front-end loader scooped up tires, lawn mowers and other debris from the couple’s yard. Burch’s friend spoke about conditions inside the house that were so bad she thought she might vomit.

Pazuzu Algarad’s Suicide And Aftermath

It wasn’t until 2014, according to the search warrants, that the sheriff’s office tracked down Dixie Ross. The sheriff’s office also interviewed Daniel Pilcher, who lived with Algarad for three months. Algarad told Pilcher that he killed someone and pointed out where the person, presumably Wetzler, was buried. But Stacey Carter, Wetzler’s former girlfriend and the mother of their son, still wonders whether the two men’s bodies could have been found sooner. A search warrant was issued on February 23, 2010, and the authorities headed out to investigate Pazuzu's backyard.

Even in light of the assaults, Algarad's mother lived with the couple in her house on Knob Hill Drive where the skeletal remains were found. She was one of four people at the house when deputies arrested the couple. According to criminal records, both Algarad and his wife, Amber Burch, also charged in the murders, have been convicted of assaulting his mother in the last few years. The first incident in the Forsyth County court system happened in 2010.

As soon as she stepped inside the house at 2749 Knob Hill Drive, Katie felt like she was punched in the face by the horrible smell. Katie mentioned the stench to Pazuzu, saying the home smelled like death. Pazuzu simply replied, "yeah, that's just the bodies in the basement." That would not be the first or the last time Pazuzu dropped a hint something was going on inside the basement of the house. "You gotta remember the good things, and I block out any of the bad things. He wasn't by any means an angel, but he wasn't a bad person or a bogeyman or whatever phrases people have called him."

And because Cynthia did not have her own life under control, it was difficult for her to deal with John's situation. We do not know if these allegations are true or not, but there is the question of how John was able to drink so much alcohol and use drugs every day at such a young age. Nevertheless, as Cynthia was unable to continue John's treatment, he continued his downward spiral. For years, there were whispers of satanic rituals, animal sacrifices and drug activity, but nothing the neighbors could document. Algarad and his girlfriend, Amber Burch, have each been charged with first-degree murder and accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

John was the couple's only child, and soon after his birth, the family moved to Forsyth County, North Carolina. The hallway connecting the bedrooms is barely passable because of all the trash on the floor. As the inspector is walking down that hallway, one person is heard saying, "You haven't been to the worst part yet." According to the Medical Examiner's report, both Wetlzer and Welch died after being shot. Investigators asked for consent to search her house and she refused, he said. Investigators interviewed Burch, who was at the Forsyth County Jail on the assault charge, and she denied knowing anything.

After his name change, Algarad aimed to ostracize himself from society, covering his face in tattoos and filing his teeth into points. He would tell people that he regularly made animal sacrifices and even claimed to be able to control the weather. Charged in their deaths are 35-year-old Pazuzu Algarad and 24-year-old Amber Nicole Burch, who lived at the house. Pazuzu Illah Algarad, then 35, and his self-proclaimed wife, Amber Nicole Burch, 24, were arrested and charged with murder. They weren’t legally married, though each had written on their Facebook that they’d been married since November 1, 2009. In 2011, he was convicted of misdemeanor assault for putting his mother in a chokehold.

'Pazuzu' is the name of a demonic god who was referenced in the movie the Exorcist. She told the detective that Burch and Algarad had picked up a man they called “Tommy” and brought him back to the house to party. James said she heard a gunshot and went out into the living room to see Burch with a rifle standing over “Tommy,” who was slumped over a couch.

Under his new made-up identity, Algarad claimed to be of Iraqi descent with a Satanist mother. It was this house that was the scene of alleged gruesome crimes by John Lawson, who would take on the name Pazuzu Algarad. Cynthia and her son continued to live in Clemmons in North Carolina, while Timothy moved back to California.

The weapons alone might not have been alarming, but Pazuzu also went around telling stories about how he killed homeless people for fun. According to Pazuzu, he shot and stabbed people to death and once hid a person in his basement. Pazuzu continued by saying that if his friends ever saw somebody coming out of the basement, they should not let them leave. As mentioned before, it was not just once or twice that Pazuzu said things like this, but it seemed like nobody took him seriously.

Obviously, the house was in dire condition – there was garbage everywhere, animal carcasses lying around, and blood smeared on the walls. This is one of LA's wealthiest neighborhoods and that's reflected in the manicured properties with large, expensive single family homes. There are some condos and townhouses as well, though they are similarly pricey. WFMY also reports that Algarad was involved in a 2010 homicide but was put on probation instead of serving prison time. WFMY reports that both have previous convictions for assaulting Algarad's mother, who was reportedly in the house when the two were arrested.

'Pazuzu' is the name of a demonic god referenced in the movie "The Exorcist." Born John Alexander Lawson in San Francisco, California, on August 12, 1978. For a brief period, he tried to market himself as an Iraqi Muslim, especially on Facebook, but was not a practitioner of Iraqi culture or the Islamic faith. Instead, he proclaimed himself to be a self-styled combination of Charles Manson, Anton LaVey, and Alistair Crowley. Pazuzu is the name of the king of demons in ancient Mesopotamian mythology and heavily features in pop culture, most prominently in the Exorcist universe.

Even a tip-off from Cynthia herself about her son’s supposed girlfriend shooting a man wasn’t enough to initiate a thorough investigation. On October 5, 2014, officers arrived at 2749 Knob Hill Drive together with the State Bureau of Investigation, medical examiners and forensic anthropology team. They began to go through the backyard, which was absolutely filthy, which could have made the search difficult, but it was actually relatively easy to see where the ground had been disturbed. So easy, in fact, that many have said you can see the location clearly in the pictures taken from Pazuzu's backyard during the initial search years earlier.

Amber's best friend, Katie Wagner Davis, said that Amber grew distant from her friends and family, and like Pazuzu, she stopped showering. Apparently, she wanted to be able to better bite into animals during ritual sacrifices. Katie also said that Amber told her she and Pazuzu would cut each other and drank each other's blood. And still, after hearing all this, Katie agreed to go and meet Pazuzu when Amber asked her in late 2009. Her friend Carmen has said John's mental health issues and violent behaviour were all Cynthia's fault. According to Carmen, John's mother had her own problems with alcohol, drinking every day and leaving her son alone or with random people.
